Extraordinary Excursions

Suitable for beginners, from 10 years old. Double sit-on-top self-draining kayaks are used.

Required personal gear:

• Swimsuit

• Sun protection and cap

• T-shirt to get wet

• Sunglasses with a retention strap

• Appropriate footwear for water activities (securely attached to the foot, such as sandals, water shoes, or old sneakers)

• Drinking water

• Spare clothes for after the activity

REQUIREMENTS

• Know how to swim
• Minimum age required: 10 years old
• Inform the centre if you suffer from any form of disability or illness or pregnancy.
• Minors must be accompanied by an adult
• To book in advance is required
• The customer is responsible to travel to the departure point of the activity
• During the trip is mandatory to use the safety vest (it helps you to float)
• Is necessary to wear the required equipment.
• To follow all the time the instructions from your guides.
• The client is responsible to get to the meeting point by his/her own. The guided tours have the meeting point on each corresponding beach: Tamariu tour at the beach of Tamariu (Palafrugell), Castell tour at Castell beach (Palamós), Cala Montgó tour at Cala Montgó beach (l’Escala) and Portlligat tour at Portlligat beach (Cadaqués). We are not able to give an exact address because is on the same beach (on the sand). In case that the clients show up to our office in l’Escala, Kayaking Costa Brava won’t bring them  to the meeting point, so this could mean the loss of their activity.
• Our activities are related to changing weather conditions and the sea behaviour, this forces Kayaking Costa Brava to communicate the last minute changes, as the modifications of the meeting point or the cancellation of the activity. Kayaking Costa Brava always asks the client for the acceptance of this modifications by calling the guest, by email or text message. For this reason we recommend you to check the day before your phones and email if you have any message. In these circumstances Kayaking Costa Brava won’t be responsible for the unnecessary travel of the client.

It is recommended not to bring valuables to the tours (guided tours, rentals). Kayaking Costa Brava will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal material.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Rates are per person and include VAT. This price also includes technical and safety equipment (kayak, vest, paddle and helmet), two qualified guides and safety boat. 

1- Booking in advance is mandatory

2- While the booking confirmation, the guest must pay the 100% of the amount.

3- Our activities are related to changing weather conditions and the sea behaviour; this forces Kayaking Costa Brava to communicate the last minute changes, as the modifications of the meeting point or the cancellation of the activity. In this case, the clients will be able to choose if they want postpone it or if they want the refund of the whole amount.

4- If cancelled or modified by the client:

• Ten days before, will be penalized with 25%.
• Between 9-4 days before, will be penalized with 50%.
• Three days before or less is punishable by 100%.

5- All our services include liability insurance and accident insurance. The liability insurance policy nº 1200050146, the accident insurance policy nº:1300000361, both settled with Berkley company. The accident policy doesn’t cover people older than 85.The equipment rental service (without guide) does not include assistance insurance coverage. The complete information about the insurance is available for anyone who requests it, it will be sent by email.

6- The contract and responsibility of Kayaking Costa Brava affects exclusively to the direct work of your technicians and to the organization of our activity.

7- From the booking confirmation the client assumes the totality of theses General Conditions. If someone books for someone else, this person accepts all the conditions in the name of the person who will do the activity.
