Llafranc

This year Kayaking Costa Brava collaborates again with the 2nd edition of the Oncocaiac charity kayak race organized by Oncolliga & Tourist Service from Llafranc.

How it works?

This challenge consists of a kayak crossing. All the participants will gather at les 8:30 am at Llafranc beach (next to Tourist Service) there orgainzation will provide a short briefing where they’ll explain how the race will work and the check the sea conditions. We will leave Llafranc beach at 9 am, following the coast line until we reach Cap de Planes, then we’ll paddle around the Formigues Islands and get back to Llafranc. Estimated arrival time is around 12 am.

The money collected will go towards the needs of the Fundació Oncolliga Girona.

Things to consider:

• Meeting time is 8.30 am at Llafranc beach next to Tourist Service
• Race will start at 9.00 am
• If you don’t have a buoyancy aid vest (PFD) organization will provide it
• The estimated time of arrival will be at 12.00 pm
• On arrival there will be refreshments.
• Race can be done using both single and double kayaks, inflatable kayaks are not allowed.
• If you do not have your own kayak, the organization will provide one for €10.
