Marine and land regulations in the Park
MARINE ENVIRONMENT
Regulations for the marine environment are necessary, given that the Medes Islands are a place of great biological value both for the diversity and density of species found there and the Montgrí coasts are the natural habitat of many these species.

TERRESTRIAL ENVIRONMENT
There is also a need for regulations for the terrestrial environment of the Park, especially with regard to climbing, an activity that could affect the set of protected birds that breed in the Park, declared ZEPA (area of special protection for birds) and ZEC (special conservation area).
